My Story

I’m Toni Hakala, an athlete in Corinthians SC a professional coach specializing in sport performance, martial arts, strength and conditioning, as well as life coaching and mentoring. Physical training and self-development have been central parts of my life from a young age, and over the years they have shaped not only my body, but also my values, discipline, and way of thinking.

My background is not based on formal academic degrees, but on decades of hands-on experience, continuous self-education, and long-term work with training, performance, and personal development. I believe that physical training is more than improving strength or technique, it is a tool for building resilience, self-awareness, and responsibility for one’s own choices.

My life has included serious challenges and consequences, including a long prison sentence in Brazil. I take full responsibility for my past, and I do not seek to minimize it. What I can say is that this period forced me to confront myself honestly, to reflect deeply on my actions, and to rebuild my mindset from the ground up. I chose to use that time to learn, to train, and to develop the discipline and perspective that now guide my work. Those experiences have shaped how I coach today. I understand setbacks, failure, and the long process of change not as abstract concepts, but as lived reality. This allows me to work with people in a grounded and realistic way, focusing on sustainable progress rather than quick fixes or empty motivation.

Today, my focus is on helping others improve their performance and their lives through structured training, coaching, and mentoring. I work with individuals from different backgrounds, supporting them in developing physical strength, mental clarity, and a sense of direction. My approach is practical, honest, and built on long-term commitment.

I am currently writing my first book with Tapani Bagge, You Will Die Tomorrow, to be published by Docendo in April 2026. The book reflects on life, responsibility, and the possibility of change, themes that have shaped my own path. After nearly two decades I’m free and my intention is simple: to continue building a meaningful life through honest work and by being of use to others.

If you are ready to work consistently, take responsibility for your development, and move forward step by step, I am here to support that process.
