The Criminal World and Sports: The Same Challenges, Different Field.

Updated: Sep 15

During my childhood spent in a variety of sports training and competing in many countries there were many high level trainers who had an excellent approach to many venues and areas of training. Although not one approached the psychological side of the whole topic. Later on after seeing some of my best friends making into fame and money I saw how it affected them, which were basically the same effects that I was dwelling in my criminal life.

With the glamour and glory came the depression and self loathing thoughts which were often caused by the standards set by competition and results oriented industry of sports and crime life. The young athletes many times are immature to face the positive consequences of their achievements so as they are with the negative ones. This many times lead to these two worlds to encounter and some of my old friends were now my clients who had no problem with spending a lot of money to drugs and alcohol.

My own experience about it back in those days was also immature and cannibalistic in a way since my own goals had not been fulfilled. Now I was getting money from the ones whom I was aiming to be. This was a paradoxical standpoint where I selfishly used my position to gain money and connections through my position in the underworld. It took a while until I understood where the problem was and wanted to make a change. For some it was already too late. It also was almost too late for me also, but I made an U turn and initiated a substantial transformation to the core of my being. The road was long and rocky but somehow I knew that it was the right direction.

I was guided and teached by many who were also victims of the same soul obliterating machine that the both, sports and crime are. The both have corrupted minds in them just as good and kind one’s also have. What I try to pass on to my trainees and clients is a multidimensional view of the whole genre where they can avoid some inevitable situations and topics which always surround the money and fame. My mission now is to guide athletes and individuals through the emotional and psychological challenges of their journey, so they can rise above the external pressures and find lasting fulfillment.
